wow!! I love it :)! great job.. I'm near the end too.. and 2 people of my knitting club have started it :)
ReplyDeleteyes, finished... this was a big project for me, and challenging, but can't wait for the summer now!
ReplyDeletehi friend could you help me start this beautiful dress?, much as I look I do not understand the pattern, I'm Spanish and I can hardly show me where you started? I guess that's the first picture I just do not get pictures to see which part of the dress is, is the part up front?
ReplyDeleteLjian, the first picture is a half from the top part. You start from the bottom, where the blue "START HERE" is, by making a chain (so you will start from the middle of your back), and follow the pattern up for the first half (this will cover a breast and half of your back ), and down for the second (this will cover the second breast and the other part of your back). when you finish the first part just bend over the top, by joining the two red (the red part is the joining from under the arms) Then, where the green part is, you will start from the second picture, by working around the base of your breasts. I hope I made myself clear, English is not my first language either, but I will try to explain better if you want.
ReplyDeleteOh, now I understand. I was wondering the same thing too. Thanks, this is soooooo great!
DeleteIs the first picture one half of the top? Do you make two of them for each arm before moving on to the waist and dress?
DeleteMarjory - You have made a fantastic job of copying this dress and even better writing out the pattern in English. I am from Scotland and stay in Livingston, near Edinburgh. I am sooooo happy that your site is in the UK and I will be looking on your FB page as soon as l am finished looking at your blog. You are so lucky to be as talented as you are, l am so glad that l came a cross your blog by accident but l will be looking at it again for sure. This dress is so beautiful. My FB page is Marjory Ross.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I will look for you on FB!
ReplyDeletewow! very nice
ReplyDeleteWhat size crochet hook did you use and what kind of yarn? Im excited to get started!!
ReplyDeleteI used a 450m/100 g yarn and a 1,75 mm crochet hook.
ReplyDeleteIs the yarn used a 4ply or DK yarn. Also can you please tell me approximately what size of dress are the instructions for. Looking forward to trying this pattern.
ReplyDeleteHi, I don't know, the yarn I used has 28-30 stitches/ 10 cm, so...
ReplyDeleteThe dress is a size S/M.
OMG, never mind my post on your last page... I LOVE IT!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow this Crocheted Dress was awesome. Though it simple yet it was very stunning. It was well detailed and well done. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMichelle
Hi! Something i didn´t get it... in the first picture, where is the front part? the side that is written "first half" or the other one where explains the fourth step?
ReplyDeletethnks!
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI combined the front part with the back, so , the first half is the part that begins in the back and goes up the shoulder, and then goes down to cover the breasts... I hope you understand :D
ahnnn now i see! thanks!
ReplyDeleteHello I'm from Chile and I love your dress ... I have a doubt the first picture of the pattern corresponds to the front? I will appreciate your answer. Johanna
ReplyDeleteThe first picture represent the front and the back: from bellow the breasts, up to the shoulders and down on the back. I hope you understand :D
ReplyDeletei love it, i wanna buy it..
ReplyDeleteyou can find the dress here http://cossalina.com/shop/jennifer-p-51.html
ReplyDeleteHello, I love your dress, I wanted to know if you would agree with me because I do not know how to crochet. How it would cost? Answer me on my email address please do: emmachan@hotmail.fr
ReplyDeleteOups : emmachan28@hotmail.fr
DeleteHi! LOVE the dress and so greatful that you've done a pattern others can use!
ReplyDeleteIf I'm gonna make in a size XS/S what yarn and crochet size should i have?
thank you so much!
I used a lightweight cotton yarn (aprox 433m/100g) and a 1,5 crochet hook.
ReplyDeleteHi, beautiful work,
Deletebut how many spools of those 100g did you needed for this dress?
What size are you? how would i increase or decrease the size of this?
ReplyDeleteI am size S. You could work starting with 16 extra more stitches from under the breasts for M-size (204 stitches instead of 188), and increase from there. Or you can calculate and measure each row and adjust it to fit your own measurement. You can always try on the dress. The upper part I think it fits all measurement.
Deletehello...i am waiting the new crochet models that jenifer wears in the newest movie wanderlust....when you have them let us know....thank you for all that you do...
ReplyDeleteYes! I need to see that movie first!
ReplyDeletethank you for the info

ReplyDeleteI love Anna Kosturova's creations. :D
ReplyDeleteTe felicito, está hermoso, pero si te fijas bien en la pelicula, en la espalada tenia como un escote en v. Saludos!
ReplyDeleteI know the "V" back, but I wanted this dress to have something special, a little of "Cossalina" :D
DeleteOh my gosh! My husband fell in love with Jennifer Aniston over this dress. He jokingly asked me if I could make one. Can't wait to make it and surprise him.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! and don't forget to post some pictures on my Facebook page!
DeleteIs the pattern in UK or US format?
ReplyDelete-Mary Clare
I don't know. Every symbol is explained in the first picture, the one with the upper part.
DeleteUS format :)
DeleteIn the first pattern there are a few rows in red, I'm confused as to why the pattern changes in that one small spot in the middle. Also again, is this only have the top? One sleeve? Thanks
ReplyDeleteI just wanted that part tobe a little more wide , it is a good way to adjust the dress for bigger breasts, but you can just skip them.
DeleteCan I buy This or order one like it? I just can't seem to find any like the one in the movie except by you
ReplyDeleteHi, sorry for this late answer , I changed mywebsite and I had some problems with it. You can find this dress at http://www.cossalina.com You can take advantage of the September Sale and purchase it at a very special price! Thank you for your interess and sorry once again! Alina
DeleteHI! What type of yard did you use? Is it cotton?
ReplyDeleteyarn*
ReplyDeleteIt is cotton, 433 m/ 100g, nm 13/3
Deletesorry I m mixed up do you use crochet hooks to do this dress or is it done with needles?
ReplyDeleteI used a 1,7 crochet hook
DeleteHey just wanted to share that I am just finishing this pattern, and thank you it's been a fun one. I made an alteration, so I used double knit and a 4.0 hook followed the pattern exactly and its taken 600g to make a just above knee length size 14-16. Will try and add a pic when it's complete and pressed.
ReplyDeletePlease feel free to post some pictures on my facebook page http://www.facebook.com/Cossalina
DeleteThank you!

My girlfriend just loves this dress and she is really special to me. What would be a cost for this in a medium? If you need to ask me more questions you can email me at: madczarpiper@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI've send you an email.
DeleteHow many skeins of yarn did you use to make this dress?
ReplyDeleteHi Bobbie,
DeleteI used almost 4 skeins , 100g each.
hi, can someone send me easier instructions? or some video? my email: katyanjelik@gmail.com
ReplyDeletehi, I've considered and started crochet this beautiful dress. I'm medium size with a bra size of 34 DDD, if possible how do I compensate for this enormous breast? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi,
Deletemeasure yourself from bellow your breasts, up, over your shoulder, and down in the back, and use this measurement to start and make the upper part, as the front of the upper part of the dress should be longer, in order to cover your breasts. I really hope you understand! :D
no he podido desarrollar el primer cuadro. Gracias Nohora Piedad Gutierrez Ospina. Correo piedicuni@gmail.com
